ST GILES LONDON HOTEL - CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

 

At St Giles London – A St Giles Hotel, we take great care to provide you with the best and most helpful information through our website. We advise all visitors to read and understand our terms and conditions carefully before finalising their bookings.

 

By making a booking via our website, you also accept and agree with all terms and conditions set out below. The terms and conditions are standard to the industry.

 

Information on the Website

 

All the information on this website pertains to St Giles London Hotel and information specific to every hotel managed by the St Giles Hotels Group. We have taken great care to make this website as clear and informative as possible; however, we do not guarantee that all information is correctly presented. We will not be liable for any inconveniences, loss of revenue, or damages resulting from the direct or indirect use of any information provided on our website.

 

We try to ensure that all information presented is accurate, appropriate, and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that the rates and rooms listed will be available at the time of booking.

 

If, as a consumer, you feel that certain information is expressly needed and cannot find it on our website, please do not hesitate to contact us via our ‘Contact Us’ section. We will provide the required information without delay.

 

Reservations

 

Individual Bookings:

  • Bookings are only confirmed upon providing valid credit card details. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The credit card details will be passed directly to the hotel to guarantee your booking.
  • The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise your card for the first night’s stay 72 hours prior to arrival. If the card is declined, we will attempt to contact you, but the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if no alternative valid card is provided.
  • Full payment is required upon check-in unless pre-paid in advance.

Completing the reservation form does not constitute a confirmed booking. A confirmation email with a booking reference number will be sent. The hotel is not responsible for guests arriving without their booking reference number.

 

Group Bookings:

  • Group bookings of 15 people or more are subject to different terms than individual bookings. Bookings cannot be split across multiple hotels. For more details on group bookings, please contact our reservations team at lgroups@stgiles.com or call +44 (0) 20 7300 3030

 

Pre-Authorisation of Credit/Debit Cards

A valid credit/debit card is required at the time of reservation to guarantee against late cancellations or no-shows. A pre-authorisation for the value of the first night’s stay will be placed prior to your arrival. This pre-authorised amount will be applied to the total reservation cost upon check-in when full payment is collected.

 

Manage Your Booking Online

To amend or cancel a booking made directly on the hotel’s website, visit our website and use the ‘View, Change, or Cancel Reservation’ option. Enter your reservation ID and email address to view your booking details and make changes.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

Individual Bookings made Directly on St Giles Hotels’ website:

  • Cancellations must be received by 6:00 PM to the Hotel booked on the day prior to arrival.
  • If a cancellation is made later than the required date for an Advance Purchase booking, or in the event of a no-show, the hotel will charge for the entire booking.
  • If a cancellation is made later than the required date for any other booking, or in the event of a no-show, the hotel will charge for first night’s accommodation.
  • Special offers, discounted rates, and packages may have different cancellation policies—please check at the time of booking.

 

Shortening Your Stay:

  • No refunds will be issued if you choose to shorten your stay after check-in. You will be charged for the entire original booking.
  • Exceptions are made only in cases of bereavement or serious medical conditions, for which proof (such as a death certificate or medical note) will be required.

 

Group Bookings:

  • Group bookings of 15 people or more are subject to specific terms agreed upon at the time of booking, please refer to Group Bookings contract. In case of cancellation or non-arrival, the hotel will charge the full amount unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • All group cancellations must be made directly to the Group Reservations team via email with proof of written cancellation.

 

Early Departure and Shortening your Stay Policy:

Guests checking out before their scheduled departure date will be charged an early departure fee equal to the cost of the remaining nights in the original booking.

 

Refund Process

Refunds will be made to the payment card used at the time of booking. If your booking is cancelled before check-in as per the terms, refunds will be processed within 10 days of cancellation. For early departures, refunds (if applicable under the exception policy) will be processed within 10 days of the last day of the original booking.

If you are an individual consumer, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

 

Cancellation by St Giles London Hotel:

  • The hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment is not made when required, or if terms are breached.
  • If an event outside of our reasonable control prevents us from performing your booking, we may cancel your booking and will refund any payment made for accommodation, food, and beverage extras (but not other non-refundable extras or booking fees).

 

Additional Policies

 

Non-Smoking Policy:
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. Violating this policy may result in a £200.00 penalty.

 

Photo-ID Requirement:

  • British citizens may provide a valid driver’s licence or another photo ID upon check-in.
  • Non-UK and non-EU residents must present a valid passport.

 

Pet Policy:
We welcome two small pets maximum (with a combined weight of 25 lbs and limited to dogs and cats only) in our pet-friendly rooms at a charge of £30 per night. A £50 deposit is required at check-in to cover any damages. Pet owner must present up to date vaccination documents for pet and inform reception of any other health details. Pets must not be left unattended in public areas or in hotel rooms, and barking is discouraged to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. Pets are welcomed in our public areas of our hotel but must be always kept on a leash or in a carrier with their accompanying owner. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant areas at St Giles London Hotel. Pet owners/Hotel Guests must notify reception if their pet(s) will be left in their hotel room. A pet door hanger must be kept on the door throughout the duration of hotel stay to indicate a pet is in the room. If room is damaged or a mess it made by pet(s), there will be a repairing/cleaning fee of £150 payable by cash or card at check-out.
